Re: Sun 11 March - beginner/ confidence raising ride

Thanks Steven and Dominic for a great if slightly squidgy ride out.

Managing to stay upright was a plus but 2 hours cleaning was the downside.

Best of luck for your trip Steven.

Cheers,

Steve

Re: Sweetlamb Training & Trail riding weekend 19/20 Nov 2016

Just come back from a CCM owners' weekend at Sweet Lamb. Massive amount of space, stunning scenery and something for most abilities. Our training was with Mark Molyneux who runs the onsite academy. Top bloke. If you are looking for beer/dinner (somewhere to sleep with no snoring), the Blue Bell Inn ...

Re: Recomend me goretex/textile waterproof enduro trousers

I use Forcefield Pro armour above and below waist so the pads stay in place. Then, I wear army surplus DPM trousers as they're waterproof, baggy (to fit over the armour) and cheap (£20 to £30). Mine already have melted patches from when the bike wasn't obeying orders... A Fox Legend enduro jacket do...

Ride Limousin - central France

Just back from 4 days/5 nights staying and riding with Rowena and Torsten at Ride Limousin in France. Travel time was short and my mate doesn't have an offroad bike at the moment so we hired their 250 Yamahas (carbs). Torsten took us out for 4 days of very varied terrain, scenery and degrees of diff...

Gary, thanks for the great ride.

Despite getting crossed up a couple of times, I managed to keep right side up.

Cheers,

Steve

Number Plate Found Hogden Lane Surrey

Hi,

Found a motorcycle number plate in Hogden Lane Surrey.

It's a 16 plate. Was velcro'd on and glue has obviously given up.

If you've lost one, PM me with the full number and I'll find a way to get it back to you or, I'll bring it with me to the Surrey meeting in August.

Cheers,

Steve

Re: Green Road Guardians: 11 green road 'clusters' & guardia

Hi Steve,

As discussed at the recent club night, I'll 'own' cluster 8 as I live close to all four of the lanes here.

I've checked two of them today and reported a fly tipping incident on one of them.

I'll write them up once we have a format for doing so.

Cheers,

Steve

Re: Byway clearance day - Sunday 5th June

Happy to come along and add some effort for a few hours.

I'll bring loppers/pole saw, bow saw etc.

I'll be driving down from Cranleigh direction if anyone needs a lift/transport for tools.

Also got a small trailer for rubbish clearance if it would be useful?

Hi, I have just ordered a CCM GP450 for an attempt at the Trans America Trail next year. I'll be using the Surrey and Hampshire lanes from June to get my offroad legs back and gain some fitness. Planning a week of solid off roading in France in September. Current bikes are a Ducati Multistrada and a...
