Learning routes & run leading

If it's flush or flat, spot it with a big drill bit so you can centre it. Slowly and with oil as coolant pilot and then drill bigger and bigger. Hopefully you can crush it and wind it out before you get to the threads. If it's easier wind it into the swing arm. It'll rattle but better that then ruin...

Re: Advice please - Tubliss

Plus one for mousses, Have tubliss for the trials wheel but still sceptical. This weekend a mate with tubliss was with me. Last lane of the day he got a puncture. The can of Tyre weld he had just oozed out. We limped it back 5 mile on the road. Back at mine we plugged it with ease and it's all still...

Re: What bike for a new trail rider...........

Be weary of 2nd hand 2strokes they can get expensive. But even more so with secondhand 4stoke enduro biased machines. (Repairing a dud 4 stroke engine will set you back 4 figures easy, compared to a fee hundred quid tops to totally rebuild a knackered stroker!). If you buy a new stroker then it's up...

Insurance

As a broker I would have taken the time to tell you this but most wouldn't or wouldn't understand. Faceless customer service bods at the end of a phone in a call centre wouldn't have a clue, as they're just keyboard users and not actually trained insurance guys. How things changed when we all went d...

Re: Insurance

everyone reads the small print unless they want to be caught out. If you didn't then you can't claim to have misunderstood them. It's about risk assessment, deep down you know that. You're now a bad risk as you've had 2 theft claims(the worst claim you can have). Doesn't matter what why where when, ...

Re: Insurance

Well they haven't really refused, they've just executed the terms of the policy. Either way from experience if you clicked yes to this on the quote screen when I was a broker, we could only find 1 insurer who'd quote and they were astronomical. Almost every insurer will refuse cover if you've had an...

Re: Insurance

And rest assured if you answer yes to that question NO insurer in the country will touch you. That question is designed for policies cancelled due to fraud or misrepresentation etc. You haven't technically had a policy cancelled or terms imposed as the policy was cancelled due to the payment of a to...

Insurance

I think 10 years as a broker and 5 as a senior theft insurance claims investigator/negotiator give me a bit more than just an opinion. 20 years claims free unfortunately makes no difference once you have a claim. You paid into a pot and were paid out from it. You were covered for what you paid for a...
