Riders list: Andew B, Pippa, Andy, Richard, Murray, James

Reserves: John, mudplugger

Hi, Andy has just informed me there is a big run on the same day starting at Devils Punch Bowl. It will make parking difficult for our vans and trailers. I will investigate a new meeting and starting point and let you all know.

If anyone knows of a good safe place to meet and park nearby, please contact me.

Thanks
Steve

Steve, I know its cheeky but Beer Belly and I used to park in the hotel, if the main car park was busy. The staff didn't seem to mind.

We used the small car park on Boundless Road which is adjacent to the A3, you pass it on route to Gibbet Hill.

Yep, Steven Taylor started some runs from Hindhead from Boundless Road, which is just north of where it dives under the A3 en route to Gibberts. If you google this "plus code" you will find it on google maps:

Thanks Guys.

Hotel car park is being used by the runners.

Boundless Road car Park - Yes I was thinking of using that, is it big enough for vans and car/trailer? plus it looks like you access Boundless road from Thursley?

Thanks
Steve

Boundless Road "car park" (more a lay by) is unlikely to be as secure for trailers than somewhere more public. It can only take about 6 cars.

Good point. I will investigate Grayshott car parks and also ask punch bowl café if they are extending their parking area.. and let everyone know.

Who is coming with trailers and who is coming with vans? Please let me know.

I will be using a trailer.

Thanks.

I have scouted the area and found a large car park which isn't too busy but hopefully busy enough. Its got some decent size parking bays so we can chain the trailers to the cars and room for vans. Its free on a sunday and near the trail route. Its a short distance from original starting point.

We will now start from: Liphook Station Car Park, Station Road, Liphook GU30 7DR

Would all riders please confirm you have seen this new starting point and send your mobile number.

My number is 07840361348

Cheers
Steve

Thanks for the update Steve.
I will ride from Guildford the usual way across the Sands and up Gibbet Hill. If anyone wants to meet en route, shout.
