2 new Surrey members

Postby Clarkie » Sun Jan 17, 2016 10:46 pm

Guys

I'm looking for a lead rider for 2 new Surrey members for an intermediate mid week ride.
I recently went on a paid ride with Surrey green lanes tours who lead
2 loops in one day but with a massive a3 ride for 30 mins each way, he said it was a Surrey loop and hindhead loop ??
Hoping to get an alternative intermediate ride out anywhere the Surrey trf covers.

Cheers

Clarkie.

There's a few different routes, non of which take the A3, but each to there own, hello and welcome.
Off the beaten track!.

Thanks Stewie I'm pleased to hear that as it was a long and cold ride on the A3. Hopefully will get an alternative from a longtimer.

Welcome!

I hope you get someone to lead, unfortunately I am out of action for a few months.

As Stewie has said we dont use the A3 to link.. We normally link the two routes via riding south of Guildford or through guildford to the west. Takes about 20 mins unfortunately, but thats due to lack of byways between the two loops.

Hi there,

I could probably fit something in next week, but I'd like a few more details before committing...... Where are you based and do you ride to start points or use van/trailer?(make a difference on where to start a suitable ride for you). What bikes do the 2 of you ride? (makes a big difference to route selection if you turn up on a spanking new GS1200 that has seen no mud).

Sorry for the 20 questions, but if you want a big bike ride and a zillion miles in a day - I'm not your man!

Thanks

Derek

Derek
Thanks for your response. I live in high Wycombe which is about 45 mins from rykas. I have a van to transport my bike.
We ride ktm 350 exc 2014 and ktm 400. So no big bikes, just had a laugh re new GS. Understand your thought. Mid week is ideal if ok with you.
Ideally looking for an intermediate ride, but there aren't many rides at the mo so will take
Most things. Happy to travel.
In your hands as not a great response from Surrey as a newbie to the group.

I'm out of the country on hols for another week but when back would be cool to get a ride out. Lovin the mud this time of year.
Happy to answer any other questions
