Postby drkevh » Fri Oct 28, 2016 8:29 am

Hi - anybody planning a ride next w/e which I (beginner!) could tag along? I'm from the Alton area but can get over to Newlands / Rykas. Thanks loads. Kevin

I'm keen too. Out Bromley way but can make it to same area. Too new to even think of leading a ride tho! Saturday only for me. Might try the Kent lanes too if nothing else going on, just follow my nose (and the map!)

Hi Kevin and cjselbysmith (a name may be useful!)

I could lead you around the local lanes on Saturday 5th Nov. Newlands/Box Hill are both ok for me.
Will you be riding or driving to the start?
What bikes will you be riding?
What riding experience (of any kind) do you have?

Hi Colin
It would be great to get out on Saturday.
I have a crf250l.
Been out with TRF novice ride last month around Rykas and Newlands.
Previously been off-roading in Pyrenees.
Still class myself as novice.
Many thanks
Kevin

Hi all,

I would also be up for a ride Saturday.

I have a CRF250L as well and have been only been green laning / off road twice so far so am definitley a beginner. I had a race bike prior to this but nowadays I find off road riding much more appealing and fun.

I live in Reigate so Rykas etc would be great and would like to join for a ride

Hi Kevin and Matt,
We are on for Saturday! Kevin is coming from Alton, Matt from Reigate, so I suggest meeting in Guildford. Time and place T.B.A.
Are you riding or driving to the start or do I have to allow for parking of vans or trailers?

You will need to bring;
A roadworthy bike with a full tank,
£2 for club funds,
Any protective gear you may have,
Chain adjusted and lubed.

Also I would suggest;
A spare inner tube, a 21" will fit the rear in an emergency,
Tools as needed to change a tube,
AA/RAC card.

Still waiting to hear from cjselbysmith so may be 4 of us.
If anyone else wants to join us, great, but sorry, I cant take any more first time/beginners on my own.

I'll post up start time and place on Thurs evening.

Hi Kev, We will meet at The Hogs Back Cafe about 9.30 leaving at 10. You will need to come up the A31, turn off at the B3000 Puttenham turn off then double back towards Farnham My plan is to go south from Guildford to Hindhead then to Liphook, then head West towards Farnham. This gives you the option of continuing back towards Guildford or heading home via Farnham.

Matt and cjselbysmith you're still welcome to come along! Let me know yes or no if you can.

See you Saturday
Colin

Any room for two more riders? Both been members for nearly a year but not yet done a TRF ride but plenty of Enduro Practise days.
was going to ride out from Rykers but just noticed your ride.
