Rights of Way data

Postby silvergull » Wed Jan 27, 2016 6:27 pm

A question came up at last club night: what is the total length of various rights of way, in Surrey.

The answer is, according to SCC data:
total of 3470 kms , which breaks down thus:
footpaths, 2234 kms
Bridleways 1112 kms.
byways 123 kms
and Restricted byways1 km

Remember that the walkers have access to all, and it cascades down.

For comparison data with other counties eg Hants, and full report, follow this link, read either para. 5.4 for comparison dara, or 6.4 for the surrey breakdown, but best is to read the whole thing, all 54 pages of it! The Hants figures are very interesting!

Thanks bc.
