view of current Guildford Boruogh Councillor

Postby silvergull » Wed Sep 08, 2021 6:33 pm

Hi- this taken from minutes of the last Parish council meeting in Shere, last week. ROW officers take note!

quote:

Brief Report from Surrey County Council (SCC) Councillor on matters from Surrey County Council affecting Shere Parish. SCC Councillor B Hughes reported the following items:
1. SCC were looking into a code of practise organised cycle events as the lack of communication and guidance was leading to accidents. He also reported that he thought there was no place for BOATs (byways open to all traffic) in the area of outstanding natural beauty (ANOB)

end quote,
The sign of things to come maybe.

Nice to see that the same old prejudice runs thick through the Council's elected body.

I had a lovely run through the lanes yesterday and a good lunch the the William Bray, in Shere.
