Club AGM - Tuesday 24 November

Postby stevent » Fri Nov 20, 2015 11:55 pm

Dear All
As part of our club night next week we will have our AGM. This is something we're required to do for the National TRF.
There are six posts which we will re-elect. Currently the posts are held by:
Chairman: myself - Steven Taylor
Secretary: currently vacant
Group Officer: STEVE SHARP
RoW Officer: STEVE SHARP
Treasurer: VIV OFFORD
New Members Officer: STEVE SHARP
If anyone would like to stand for any of the posts please let myself of Steve know or you can stand for election on club night.
It would be good to get a few more involved and in particular get the Secretary role filled.
There are lots of people doing stuff without holding positions.
If anyone has an idea for project in mind, then we'd encourage you share this. For example - it'd be great to do a marketing push and get the new TRF branded posters up in locations across South London and Surrey
The club is what we all make of it
Cheers
Steven

We shall still be having our Club night agenda as well as the AGM.

We will have our maps for members, discuss forthcoming rides and RoW, etc. Plus our usual informal chat, welcome to new members, etc.

Plus Membership reminder person required.

Hi,

A good turnout for our group AGM and club night, good to see you all last night.

All of our existing Officers were re-elected for the forthcoming year.

Unfortunately we could not find someone to take on the secretary post, so it remains vacant.

Chris will be contacting lapsed members that have not renewed, this is especially useful for those that forget to renew. It will also encourage people to continue to support the TRF.

Thanks to all those that attended.

Steve Sharp
Group Officer

Steven, your a lost cause :P

Regarding renewals, may I suggest you consider automating this, saves someone the effort to keep checking.
If you need assistance with making this happen I can offer some input on how to make it happen.

One thing we could do more of is marketing, recruitment and retention.
Steven Mc - you have already very helpfully taken the initiative to sponsor a section at the event you're at this weekend. And you were on the cover of a certain magazine, weren't you.
I put a poster up at Rykas a week or two ago and have been dishing out the credit card size cards.
We could be doing more stuff like this and drawing on the branding material stuff. I was thinking about getting TRF posters up all over the place. Leading at the ExCel motorcycle event. I even pondered about us doing the Surrey County Show, but I don't want to lead that, we need someone who want to and is committed.

I think think is really important that people only take on things they like doing!!

Hi Steven M,

Will you take on the Secretary role? I need to do group returns soon. Its not much work, its more what you want to make of it.

Thanks
Steve S
