Recently re joined trf after couple of years lay off, would like to get to this event, had previous ACU licence with RRND club but now expired. Do you know if i would have to rejoin an ACU affiliated club to get licence & entry form or can this be done with my TRF membership ?

Pete,

You need to be a member of an affiliated ACU club to get your ACU trials licence which you require for this event.

The Witley club offer membership from £5.00, ACU trials licence is £10 for the year. Once you have this you can then enter lots of other events like this, including, the RRND LDT in Surrey, The Timber Woods LDT in Kent and the Witley 100 LDT around Hampshire.

I hope this all makes sense.

Good on you for entering, you will enjoy it!

There are plenty of other first timers entered so you won't be on your own.

Advice?

Well just have fun and don't get too worried about doing well. Try and buddy up with one other newbie for moral support, but don't try and go round in a big group as it really slows you down. Save some energy for the last stage and try and pace yourself that's when the tiredness kicks in

Oh and don't bother buying race numbers, just print your number on a piece of card and tape one to the back of your lid and one to the front of your bike.
