WANTED TO BUY - BIKE FOR 14YO SON

Postby brasing » Thu Oct 10, 2019 9:48 am

Does anyone have a pitbike for sale - my son is 14yo and has done a little bit of riding and i'm looking at getting him a clutched bike. I was originally looking for TY80 or XR80 to have some fun on and restore but they are expensive and quite rare . I am now also considering STOMP or WPD pitbikes from china ... parts seem to be easier to get and in the 300-500GBP range for a decent one. If you have something in your shed around that price range that you child has grown out of and want to get rid of it please drop me a line.

Update - through this group got in touch with a friend of a member and picked up a 2017 WPB for £550. My twin sons have been loving it since Xmas ... just need to find some more learner friendly places to ride.ImageImage

Happy for you all. A word of caution, you may want to remove the pic that has your van registration in it. Maybe not from this forum, but from any Facebook pages, as it's a potential link back to your house.

Thanks good thought - it’s the van of the guy that I bought it from.

There is a small track in Beddington (near Mitcham)

I’ve been in the past, it’s £10/hour or £20/half day though they don’t clock watch

I think it’d be perfect for your kids to practice on

Perfect if they let you bring your own bike on the mini moto circuit!! I knew they did go karts but wasn't sure about pitbikes or quads. /Cheers for the info
