RMX450Z for green laning

Postby SurreyLanes » Tue Jan 09, 2018 11:30 am

Hi all. Just after opinions on the use if an RMX450Z for green lanes. Ive had a go on one and am considering one as a more potent and lighter upgrade to my DRZE. Wondered if anyone has/had one and could advise on how intense maintenance is, parts availability and how they found it on the lanes.

Unless you are a good rider any 450 is gonna be overkill , 250 4 stroke is ample if using just for green lanes.

The size is fine. The DRZ400 im on now has been great so far but having tried an RMX the delivery is that much more brutal and the bike felt that bit sharper so tempted to go that way. Been at the big bikes for 16 years and previous mx days back when i used to bounce better so my concerns are more how highly strung they might be and what the cons are as you dont see many out on the lanes. Is that for a good reason?
