Forum changes following 2019 AGM

Hi all,

Recently thieves have been targeting member’s premises and several bikes have been stolen from locked sheds and garages without trace. Thieves have also brazenly stolen bikes from meeting points and destinations when the riders have been getting food & refreshments, leading us to believe that the information that is readily available to the public in the rides & meets section of the forum may be being used by thieves to follow our movements.
Following proposals made at the AGM it was decided that we need to move the Rides & Meets topic in the Trail riding section of the forum to the TRF Members Area, this has now been done.

It was also decided that we will have to make some changes to the way people access the forum.

1. Lapsed members have 2 months/10 post counts to renew before ability to participate is suspended.

2. New members to have an introductory period of 2 months/10 post counts to make their mind up whether to join before ability to participate is suspended.

(Understandably we have a reasonable expectation that once you have had access to our forum and enjoyed participating on one or two organised rides that you will commit to paying for TRF membership)

Hopefully these measures will increase security, encourage new forum users to join, and lapsed members to renew TRF membership.
