Fitting ignition to KTM 450 EXC

Postby Patt959 » Wed Dec 16, 2015 11:10 pm

Hello people of knowledge!

I'm getting a new ignition and loom delivered to fit to my 450. I have no idea how to fit them.

Can anyone tell me how to go about fitting them or point me in the direction of a link or a YouTube video tutorial?

Should I attempt it myself or should I get someone who knows what they're doing to do it for me? I'm fairly technically minded but wouldn't know where to start with this.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Pat

Like you, I've got no idea

Can't the supplier give you some fitting instructions?

Alternatively, if it's not too late to send it back, I'd go for the hidden switch option offered by KevInYorks on the KTM forum http://www.ktmforum.co.uk/general-discu ... 008-a.html

I got one of these last year, he supplies very clear instructions and it was very easy to fit.

Very interesting!

I've been sent the ignition now so will probably just figure it and fit it but thanks for the link. Like the idea of a hidden switch.

why do you need a new loom and ignition
and even if you do get them just take off the old one and replace like for like

+1 for kev in yorks (ktm forum) hidden switch
