Hi all,
Got a husaberg TE300.
Change the exhaust as the old one was battered.
Notice since I changed it the expansion chamber gets really really hot.
May have been like that on my old exhaust but never notice it.
Is this normal or have I got a problem.
Thanks all
Hot Exhaust

Re: Hot Exhaust
Thanks for the advice. However I don't think that's the issue at the moment.

Only joking ! How hot does it get ? Have you changed like for like if not it might be slightly thinner metal on new pipe so would feel hotter . Maybe your jetting is not 100% and unburnt fuel is getting into the pipe and catching alight . It depends on how long it takes to get hot and how hot it gets. Might just need a good thrashing and repack silencer to clear the whole system.Without knowing the whole story its hard to diagnose .

Re: Hot Exhaust
It gets hot very quickly and gets seriously hot.
I thought it was the jetting but Iv had a mess about and sorted that(I think) but still it gets very hot.
I'm off to Normandy next week and just worried the bike might not hold out.
