DRZ 400 Headlight

Postby IMORTAL_Indian » Tue Aug 14, 2018 8:23 pm

After an afternoon ride on Sunday and stopping to get some food on the way home, I was surprised by the lack of light on the road that was from the stock lights. Can anyone suggest a good alternative please? Thanks.

Maybe LED spotlights mounted to the forks?

Your bike is not running a stock headlight assembly. It has a smaller polisport headlight. Even the standard 4x6 headlight is pretty poor. Best option is to go back to a standard 4x6 headlight assembly and then replace the lamp itself with a 4x6 LED projector lamp kit. Even then some 12v spots mounted on the outside of upper fork stancions angled slightly out are needed for evening laning. I also use a decent Petzl head torch mounted on my helmet so i can see the lane if my head is pointed in a different direction to the bars.

Up rated bulb HD and spots are fine on a DRZ.
Off the beaten track!.
