MOT testing Leatherhead area

Postby Weet-rider » Tue Nov 05, 2013 5:27 pm

It's a topic that has no doubt come up before but does anyone have a recommendation for a friendly MOT testing station in the Leatherhead & surrounding area?

It's for the XR so looking for a place that is sympathetic to the style of bike and off-road use and not getting hung up on 'minor' issues like reg plate/reflector angle, horn volume, etc.

Any opinions on Steve Jordan's in Bookham?

Thanx,

Dave.

I always take my road bike to Walton Road Garage in Molesey. The tester claims to be deaf when it comes to my exhaust and he has never said anything about my smallish reg plate.

They are into Harleys/Streetfighters so you might get a fail if your exhaust is too quiet....................

That's where I go for MOT's too. No complaints :)

Plus one on Beakys as long as you do not take the piss!

Thanks for the MOT info. Took bike to Beakys and it failed only on a rear wheel bearing. Bike is now stripped waiting for new bearings arriving and retest next w/e.

Very happy with his thorough attitude to safety issues but less interest in 'cosmetic' checks - exactly what you want!

Thanks again,

Dave.
