The Yorkshire dales last weekend, the Friday was bright and sunny, what a difference 24 hours can make, the Saturday was the worst conditions I've ridden in for quite some time, and its a great test of will power when a bike gets swept away down the river with the rider on the very first lane, so a strip down of the bike to get it running again with the rain coming in sideways with the force of a wind tunnel.
We stayed in The green dragon near Hawes, and had a mix of bikes, but most from the bigger bike stable, really liked Mikes KTM950 Super Enduro, and the bonus of there being some snow on the higher ground.
The wind was that strong at one point, when the ride leader got to the top of the dale, the wind just took him off his bike, so he was just in a heap in the heather wondering what happened
The views and lanes were well worth the trek up
Some pic's

Re: Yorkshire Trails
Nice one Stewie, I rode all the lanes round there last year as part of 5 day ride that took us up to Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
I remember the lanes around Hawes being pretty gnarly (I was on my 690) with bolders the size of houses and rock steps a plenty.
