Hi all, just a thought have we, or can we have a stall at this event as it's right on are door step and I would of thought there would be a lot of interest by the type of person that's likely to come to an event like this.

Maybe hook up with Off the Kerb as a shared interest stand, I'm up sampling the Yorkshire trails that weekend, so unfortunately I would not be able to help out, just a thought

Re: WVAM OPEN DAY Sunday 29th March
Hi All,
Yes as Stewie says W.V.A.M. are having an open day on 29th March , I'll have more info later in the week but early responses are that Wey Valley would be very keen to
have S L &S TRF along to the event, I'm thinking also that if people are out in the lanes that day they could drop in to sample the hog roast .
Unfortunately I will not be there as I'm doing the Lee Walters week-end .
I've copied this from our Calendar entry for 19th February :-
Tonight, we will be joined by Trish Shaw who organises motorcycle escorting for cycle events throughout the UK.
http://www.m-mecsolutions.co.uk/
She will be telling us all about her work, that of the escort teams and if you are interested in providing some of your time for which you will be paid, she will advise you the best way to get onto her books.
In addition WVAM will provide you a way of making a little extra cash...
So Christmas is over and how many of you now have the need to make space in your homes for items replaced by new gifts or for gifts that perhaps were not asked for and not to your liking. Well as usual WVAM have the answer to this problem, a bring and buy sale. Bring along those items you no longer want/need and sell them at the club. Items do not have to be bike related and please ensure the goods are suitable for sale to your fellow members, label them and have a price in mind for the bartering for your goods. Even if you don't have anything to bring, come along and grab yourself a bargain.
Doors open at 19.45hrs
Tea and coffee are free with Wey Valleeeeee
So if anyone would like to come to our club night on the 19th Feb. we can tie things up together.

I think we have done a few of these types of things now, has anyone ever worked out if it is worth the time and trouble ?

I don't know the figures, but we signed a fare few up at the Excel.
This is right on our doorstep, and if there was ever a captive target audience, that would be it.

Re: WVAM OPEN DAY Sunday 29th March
Hi guys
I was talking to Chris Avery on my run today - he was talking about this event.
Is anyone on for taking a lead on setting up a Surrey TRF stall?
We have the equipment needed to a stall, think Steve Sharp has it.
Would need about half a dozen willing volunteers to help.
Would be good just to have a presense and try to get some new members, Mario may be able to share his chip and pin gizmo for extracting the cash there and then!!
I'll be away this weekend otherwise I'd have been on to do this.
Will be a great day meeting lots of people and converting people over
The flyer for the event is here: http://www.guildfordmotorcycle.co.uk/news/wey_valley

I have the banner and some handouts, it will need a gazeebo and table and willing help to be there on the day. Is anyone up for organising this and helping out. Probably need three people on the day.
