Reccomendations for a rider from South London

Postby ReloKTM » Mon Jul 23, 2018 10:12 am

Hi all,

Was wondering if someone could reccomend a novice ride I could do one of these morning, was thinking maybe 1 or 2 hour ride so I could be back in time for lunch.

Thanks in advance!

I reckon it would have to be Surrey Hills, starting from Bocketts... there is not much else easily accessible from South London. When are you thinking of going?

When are you moving to East Sussex, plenty of routes on VR, if you give a heads up when your planning a ride and I'll see if I can come up and join you.

I could help if the starting point was as Dominic suggested Bocketts or perhaps Boxhill, when you are looking to get out just post a request.

You will need to look at OS (ordinance survey) maps to find lanes, in conjunction with council websites which will have the latest status of any restrictions etc. You are much better off hooking up with a TRF member to show you around or join a planned ride - especially if its your first ride.

You can view OS maps online, via Bing maps and use the drop-down in the top right.
