Big Bikes Saturday 7th Sept.

Postby Stewie » Tue Sep 03, 2019 4:49 pm

Hi all, with a view to getting to Newlands for the new monthly meet up at 1300hrs, I will be leading a run from Windy Gap car park on Abinger Rd.
Meeting at 0945hrs to head off at 1000hrs, going to keep it local, pace to suit, the ride is aimed at the larger duel purpose bikes, 50/50 tyres would be an advantage, but it's been dry so could get away with 30/70 or even 20/80.
Pace to suit, please bring any tools you may need for minor repairs, punchers etc.
Run fees for TRF members and any donation of £2 from none members is welcome.

Max 6 riders.

Thanks Stewie,

Hi Stewie,

I think I have double booked myself by mistake - Could you confirm this one is going ahead and I’ll cancel out of the other one (I ask because I didn’t see any further activity on this thread)

Thanks,
Florian

Well the weather held up for us, 2 cancellations before the start, which left a merry band of 5 of us heading out on the Surrey lanes ( 2x KTM690's an AT and KTM950/990. ), with a view to get up to Newlands corner for the new monthly meet up, at 1300hrs.
Lanes are dry at the moment which means their suited for bigger bikes, good mix of terrain lots of chalk and sand and a few climbs, well as much as the North Downs has to offer.
Headed back out after Newlands with a few lighter bikes, for an afternoon loop taking in the southern lanes.
Thanks for making the effort to turn up, see ya on the next one. 8-)

Hi Stewie
Yes good day, nice to hook up in the afternoon and a bonus to see Tricky out again. What platform was your cancellation from? I had a no show from FB.
