You have to think when you are out on the lanes even with one or 2 bikes with standard pipes but more often than not you will be in a group of at least 4 or 5 so the sound from just one or 2 noisy pipes will just give more ammunition to try to close down our ever dwindling lanes that we have left.
you might like your noisey pipe keep it for the mx track cos if it's to noisey for green laning it probably to noisey for doing an Enduro.

Hi. am keen to join one of your ride-outs but worried about my pipe being annoying and too loud. Its an FMF Q4 on a CRF. Are these regarded as too noisy by yourselves? Have you had experience of these? Personally I like it it - its only REALLY noisy when you really open it up. please advise. Thanks

Researching the 'Quiet insert'.. Sounds like this could be the solution

When I first joined the TRF I had a CRF250L with a FMF Q4 on it,

Didn't have any problems with noise, you'll be fine.
