TTRO Hamps

Postby fallenmikethebike » Sun Jul 28, 2013 4:56 pm

Hi all, there is a temporary TRO on Byway 745 in Hawkley Hampshire.
The lane also known as Wheatam Hill is shut for repairs from the 17 July for approximately 21 days, or sooner if the repairs are complete.

Unfortunately, councils have a duty of care, even towards those that wander out into the wilds of Hampshire and are unable to repeat-ably put one foot in front of the other without toppling over because they forgot to put their stabilisers on that day, and now have to sue the pants off the irresponsible council that can't stop the rain water running down the bl@@dy hill and making a slippery uneven channel.

Council should invest in WARNING!
SLIPPERY FLOOR signs.
That seems to be all that's required for a business to be covered in terms of liability.

My suggestion of a sign stating, " Warning this road may unsuitable for pedestrians" fell on stony ground, presumably the irony being lost on them.

I can't agree with that statement but it is a bit special. I enjoy going up it, but only if I'm leading; the poor bugger who is last in the group gets to try to ride up a surface akin to greased glass
