Boots for winter riding

Postby baja92 » Sat Feb 20, 2016 8:20 pm

I highly recommend alpinestar toucan goretex boots for winter riding .I spent a day riding in dorset with many lanes flooded and after 6 hours returned to van and took of my boots my feet where still warm and dry . I wish I had them years ago instead of plastic bags on my feet
And ruka over mitts for hands a bit old fashioned but better than having wet and cold hands

Wondered if anyone had experience of Sidi Courier boots?

Look like they might be good up on the pegs...?

Thanks

I was thinking of a pair for road / adventure riding. In the end I didn't bother.

I think they lack protection for hardcore off-road.

So I bought the alpinstar toucan, warm and dry, but just ripped the rubber protection of the inside calf on my foot peg. Third ride out ..!

Hopefully my local cobbler cab make a glue job of it..:(
£270 !! Really shite
