Thursday 12th February - Hindhead

Postby itchychin » Fri Feb 13, 2015 4:06 pm

Brilliant ride, taking the Southern route from Bocketts to Hindhead, Devils Punchbowl, and the sand and returning there via the Northern route 7 hours and over a hundred miles later.
After several days without rain, the going was good, but the greasy chalk climb up from Shere has not changed character.
My first TRF ride. Many thanks to Stewie for the ride, first class continuity, minimum road work, perfect pace, a great day!
Thanks to phil for also leading, bike plastics repairs, and posting the event.
Cheers Guys!

Glad to have you along, yep I agree about the pace, not a lot of stopping ( unless you count me hitting that tree   ), just the 3 of us headed out for some mid-week muddy, lanes were very quiet and quite dry, Gibitts lane is getting a bit gnarly at the top end, and Phil's repair work was spot on :D .
A few pic's of the Day. :D
Hey look! there's Stewie with a camera, if I just go to the right a bit, I could get him

Great write up. Can't express how much I enjoy getting out on the bike and I'm finally starting to actually learn the routes. Slowly does it ...
