Some big grins at the end of our run leading a group from Devon across the Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex yesterday.
Derek had an incident with the mother of all bolts. A bit like scissor, paper, stone: Derek chose moose and moose beats bolt.
Wheatham Hill proved impossible to ascend, but not for want of trying with Devonian spirits giving it their best shot.
The second man drop off system worked a treat for maintaining a brisk pace. Derek did a fantastic job preparing the route and leading.
