So I've made a right mess of myself...

Initial assessment said 2 broken ribs, collar bone in 4 pieces and possible punctured lung. I was supposed to have surgery today but the doc was worried about my lung and my back so the op was cancelled and instead I had a ct scan to give the doc a better picture of things.

The scan results are positive in that my lung and back are ok and the collar bone is in only 3 pieces... but I have 3 broken ribs and not 2. So surgery is going to be on Friday now. All that means I should be good for a ride on Saturday.... Any takers?

The first doc I saw was clueless... He mixed up the paperwork and had me down for wrist surgery and some confused school kid with a broken wrist down for a collar bone plate! I also had a nurse swab me for MRSA... From my groin! The doc I saw today was on his game though and I trust him.

I will ask the doc to send them to me. Should I ask for the shards of bone floating around in there for you too? :)

You would have been proud. I think I landed on my pip because for the first minute or so after crashing I walked around the bike wondering where I was and why my bike was on the floor with the back wheel still spinning.
