That pretty much sums up the latter part of the ride!
Thanks all for the assistance in trying to get it going again and big thanks to Mike who came back and got me with his two bike trailer!

Been there and done that in Wales
Spent a good 2 hours trying to get the water out of the engine, and it only started after being towed about 10 times
Completely turned all the oil to emulsion, fortunately no damage though. It took a good few oil changes and flushes to completely get rid of the gunk

Stewie, that photo brings back some bad memories - friggin cold riding back home after body submersion up to chest height - was about this time of year too
