I finally got my bike, an XT250 and gave her a spin around today.
We would love, with Alistair, to go out next sunday for a short ride. we can't go for a long ride because of the dog! Can't be alone all day!
Anyway, the TTR of Alistair is still very loud, sorry about that. Bought a packing stuff in August, online, but never arrived and still waiting for a refund! Incompetent company or fraud..... Who knows! So we still need to fix that. Anyone who can help we can discuss on tuesday at the club night.
So yes if one of you guys don't mind a bit loud TTR and me bumbling slow on my newish XT grey import, i would love to go out on a ride... Morning or afternon we don't mind... Couple of hours? Three? Please?
Let us know! Thanks!

Re: Newbie ride sunday 1st Nov?
Thanks Steve!!
We could do few hours as we cannot leave the dog home alone for too long....
We went out today. We took the trail that start from Wotton village and ends up in front of a pub. I think the area is called coldharbour?
The trail was rather muddy with massive and sometimes very deep puddles! It got my heart racing big time in few occasions, but my XT250 was amazing! I just kept looking far ahead, kept momentum and went for it. Despite the bike sliding and the ride being quite difficult, for me, i am absolutely over the moon with my new trail bike! It is amazingly easy to ride off-road and i never felt that she would want to go down, if you see what I mean
We ended up covered in mud, cold and wet, but happy. After that we went to pose and look suitable cool at boxhill

Sounds like you had fun.
I have posted the ride, here are the details, see you on 14th.
https://forum.surreytrf.org.uk/viewtopi ... 88f35a9f2e
How long will you be out? If we start at 10-15 what time will you be leaving? If its oversubscribed I can get people to take your place half way through the day. I stop for lunch at Newlands corner, then continue on to the afternoon for an hour or two.
