Theft of padlocks bent worth and wield

Postby Beerbelly » Wed Apr 22, 2015 10:07 am

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to inform you that due to the theft of the majority of the padlocks on the routes controlled by permit in Bentworth and Wield, access may not currently be possible. We are in the process of replacing the locks, and when this has been completed, an email will be sent to you with the new code for the padlock.

Kind regards

Could anyone please clarify whether they are in some sort of breach? I mean, the gates could be locked indefinitely because the padlocks are being taken, effectively the route is now closed to vehicles.

Happened before they change them quick enough... Rather that than some scum bag wrecking the lane

This should not affect riders with permits, as its only the 4x4 gates that are ( were) locked. Report all illegal useage if spotted. bc
