Surrey Green Roads update

Postby silvergull » Tue Jul 03, 2018 7:52 am

Update from Surrey Hills meeting July 2nd 2018
no current TRO in the pipeline, but there are a few temporary closures still in place while repairs are being done or are settling in, these include 521 in Ash, 92a in Hindhead.
signage. If you notice any byways which have no post at the entrance or exit of any lane, please report this via the interactive scc website, this is the only way to report this, and copy that report here, so as we can compile a list of missing posts. We cannot complete the signage project unless these posts are in place. Also please report and copy here any missing signs.
We are liasing with SCC on the matter of extending the scope of voluntary further work on the green roads, which so far has proved difficult. We are seeking to clarify any future activity here. There seem to be legal obstacles here.
Wolvens Lane. this has been subject lately to severe and extensive 4x4 damage in two areas, and while it has not yet led to a TRO, we are very close to this being imposed. This is luckily not a bike issue, but with any TRO proposal you never know. but please report any illegal activity you see here to the police. SCC have promised to deal with this damage, soon.
The police are now using twitter and facebook to take reports of illegal activity, I do not have the access details for this not being a user of these media myself, but you can now report any illegal activity via these means. The usual phone number seems to be dificult to access, so maybe social media here may be a good way foward. This has been suggested by Dave Sadler, the current Mole Valley police officer who deals with this.
Jason Woods is also now back on the bikes, so there is sometimes a mounted police presence in Mole Valley.
Thanks , brian cohen.
