(Law Report from yesterday)
"Road traffic - Regulation of traffic.
In 2011, the Peak District National Park Authority, through powers vested in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, made an experimental traffic regulation order (ETRO) prohibiting the use of Chapel Gate by mechanically propelled vehicles.
The Trail Riders Fellowship brought a statutory challenge to the ETRO under pt VI of Sch 9 to the Act.
In a decision quashing the ETRO, the Administrative Court held, inter alia, that the experiment discerned from the statement of reasons of the ETRO had no rational basis"
Sounds like a result!

NJ
p.s. "no rational basis" that's about top of the tree in lawspeak criticism
