Folks,
Need a few volunteers to do some work on the quest for a better club night venue.
Dont want a rambling forum thread so if you are interested in doing this (need a small group of folks willing to do some legwork) please pm me.
The job is to see if we can find a better place to host club night.
Could be a working persons club/pub or similar but we probably need
a decent sized car park
dedicated space once a month to host all of us
ideally they wouldnt mind dirty boots
range of drinks
be free (or nearly free)
In the Ewell/Dorking/Chessington area
Cheers
Chris

Chris,
Ive not long joined Compton british legion.
It looks ideal, they have a good private car park which can be seen from lounge area.
They have a seperate function room with big tables etc.
And very good coffee and tea machine.
I know it depends on the area as this is the other side of guildford just off A3.
They also host another off road trials bike meeting there monthly.
Let me know if you want to have a look,I know they would bite your arm off and would make us feel welcome.
Regards
Steve

My theory of the motor car.
They have too many wheel's, get in our way, and all end up in the same place.

Re: Club Night ... where next ?
yeah croydon club have moved to a british legion and I think these look like a good fit for us...just trying to find a good one.
ideally not too far from the current venue ....Compton is too surrey for our west london/central london guys that do well to get to ewell .....but the committee will discuss having a dual site with alternating sites for club night.
which gets back to the original question ...
who wants to join me on a formal committee to do the legwork and site visits and check them out ?

No bar and half,no more than half of our members do not achieve the criteria for even a visitors pass to enter East Horsley. You need to be well posh like me.We moved from East Horsley a couple of years ago when they started to allow poor people into the village.............................

I know we've all been busy over the Christmas period, and the new year for me is especially busy, but i'd be interested in a new venue. Any news on this?
