September Club night, members sales table

Postby Muzzman » Wed Sep 19, 2018 4:58 pm

Hi everybody,

Several members have asked about the possibility of selling surplus or second hand items on club nights.

So for the September meeting we will have a sale table set up for members to bring and buy items for sale. Can you please ensure that if you are bringing items to sell you have them labelled up with the sellers name and the price clearly shown, it would also help if it says what it fits. This will mean you don't have to stand by the table all night. If your item doesn't sell you will have to take it away again after the meeting.

Please can we be sensible about what we are bringing in i.e. no old petrol cans with a litre sitting in the bottom.

If this idea works then we may be able to make it a regular thing, so have a search around in the garage and shed for the spare parts you had for a bike you sold years ago.

Cheers, Murray.

p.s. Dave (Strongbow) may be bringing along items from Simply Trail to sell as well (TBC).

Apologies all,

I'm afraid I can't make it on Tuesday.

Hope the bring and buy goes well :)

Cheers

I have the following for the table:

2 pair trail/enduro trousers, new.
1 trail/enduro jacket, new.
Gloves, nearly new.
Knee pads, nearly new.
Road boots, used but good condition.
Used panniers.

a big thank you to my sales table customers Mark and Stuart; after a slow start I got rid of quite a few items and ultimately left the venue, despite buying a couple of beers, with more money than I'd arrived with - a great feeling!

Thanks Murray for setting this up!

Graham
