Group update - 23 December 2020

Hope everyone is keeping well during these challenging times.

A quick note to let you all know that whilst we are still not able meet up, your fellow group officers Kevin, Tony, John, Murray, Steve have been having keeping in touch on regular zoom calls. Recent topics discussed have included...

• progress behind the scenes on the Green Road Map - we've submitted all our Surrey lane data, thanks to Graham Smith and Michael Malinowski for their input. Today a first version of the map platform has been shared with officers for testing, aiming for a launch to members in Spring 2021

• the Hampshire temporary closures - we know these cause concern, Lodden Vale TRF are seeking a meeting to find out what their intentions are and how the TRF can support the management of these routes

• welcoming 'newbies' - next zoom session is on Tuesday 29 December (see the events section).

• virtual club night - next one will be Tuesday 26 January. Details will be posted separately, very soon. We have decided to roll our Group AGM forward to when we can meet up face to face - hopefully this summer.

• group events for when we can meet up again - be reassured we will be looking to get everyone together when we can!

• and lots of not very exciting admin - managing access to the FB and Forum, ongoing improvements, updating our new members and run leaders guides etc etc.

Very keen to hear from anyone who has a bit of time on their hands who can get involved and help out... whatever your ideas!
In particular help with regular communications out to all members.
