New to Green Laning

Postby javi » Fri Jan 04, 2013 7:56 am

Hi All.

I’ve been riding many years. Some of the old bikes include Kawasaki Ninja 250, 400 and 750 (no the green ones aren’t faster). Current bike is a Yamaha XJR 1300 for cruising about on. As you can see, none are off road bikes!

Last night I got the new add addition to the family. Honda CRM 250 Mk2. Looking forward to meeting some new people, breathing some fresh air and.... getting muddy!

I'll post a picture once the sun comes up ;)

Hi,Frank.
Welcome,
My normal ride is an xjr as well.Bit of a downer to loose a thousand cc,but you get use to it.
As I always say its like fat women and mopeds.
Both fun to ride until your mates see you.
My theory of the motor car.
They have too many wheel's, get in our way, and all end up in the same place.

Nice MK2.2 Javi. Have you logged on to the CRM forum yet?

http://www.crm250.com/

There's lots of good advice on how to keep the old girls in fine fettle.
P.S. I'm local to you and quite often start a run out near your area.

Hey guys. Thanks for the welcome...and yes, I already know not to listen to Charlie!

I havnt joined the crm250 site yet but I have had a look around. Currently got rubbish front brakes so looking to change the disks and pads ASAP and bleed them.

Took the old girl out for a spin earlier and it was nerve racking! I'm not used to all this bouncy bouncy suspension and wheels going where the ruts say not where you point them!

I'm sure I'll meet up with you all at some point soon so thanks for the warm welcome.

PS, fat girls are for winners. Always grateful!

Welcome.

There are a few of us on CRM's. Like you, i'm into model aircraft too. Judging by where you live, i assume you fly at Wisley Airfield?

Paul.

Hi paul.

Indeed. I have taken my black bin bag to wisley a few time to pick up the pieces :)

Not flown for a few years now but still love my slow 3 channel cub and indistructable zagi.

1x Tail boom
1x drive belt
1 Pair of carbon tails blades

That would be like going from a Bugatti to a Vauxhall Corsa dude!

Would make a good beater, but I am just not interested anymore dude. Try TalkHeli or RCHeliaddict forums.
