Noob from Cobham/Leatherhead
Hi guys, I have just started green laning and recently joined the TRF. I've no experience but jumped in the deep end and did a few lanes on my own in the Coldharbour/Westcott/Ranmore/Great Bookham area yesterday on my GS1200 with TKC80's. (Wolverns Lane/The Landslip/Hogde/Chalkpit/Admirals Lanes). I took things very steady but still dropped the beast three times. Luckily no damage to bike or me - apart from a sore back from picking it up! Wolverns Lane in particular was pretty hard work for me at least as there was a lot of mud and ruts and some pretty intimidating puddles! But I had fun. I know a GS isn't exactly sensible so I will try and find something smaller for the future green laning. When is club night? Looking forward to meeting a few of you and getting muddy again. Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom
Welcome. Yes something smaller is the way most guys go... but there are some big trail bikers and the occasional big bike run.
Club night detail are here: http://www.surreytrf.org.uk/club-night/
Next one will be 27 January.
See you there!
