Finally

Postby IMORTAL_Indian » Tue Jul 03, 2018 12:41 am

After doing a Dave Thorpe day out in Wales a couple of years ago, I got the bug but as I had my sights set on a new road bike, the Enduro got left on the back burner. But I had such a great experience in the mud and rain and wind blowing a gust, I just had to get one. Picked a DRZ400 SM last week and already spend 1/2 day on Sunday just gone with some mates in and around Box Hill and Leith Hill.

Now onto the serious stuff, looking for the right gear to wear.... my fashion seems to be making more of an impact, so on the hind for gear (if anyone is selling), please get in touch... 40-40 chest, 32/34 trousers, 10.5 boot and MED Helmet.

If you see me, stop and say hello... not many Indians on bikes, nevermind Off road...

Keep safe,

AMIT.

Welcome Amit! Don't forget some body armour and knee pads when you are shopping.

See if you can get onto one of Orange Machine's rides from Bocketts - this weekend is a good option as the lanes are dry and perfect for starting out on.

Oh... and that front brake cable should be routed inside the fork and not on the outside. Its likely to get damaged the way it currently sits, leaving you without a working front brake ;)

Thanks for the heads up. I would also like to give the bike a good going over. I have a garage and most tools.... if anyone is free and would like to go over the bike with me...... I make an excellent cup of tea or coffee.... it’s been known that my curry skills are quite good too :-). With this lovely weather, I get get the BBQ on too

Amit,

Welcome to the Surrey trf. Look forward to meeting you on a trail or at the club night (Ripley British legion).

I've got a mate from work who is off to the himalayas later in the year to do one of the high passes - on an Enfield
