Re: North Downs Long Distance Trial - Sunday, May 3rd
If anyone needs an 18" rear trials tyre for this event, I have a virtually new (50 mile only) MT43 available that I could bring to clubnight on Tuesday for £40.
Just let me know.

Don't panic everyone you don't need a trials tyre for this event, any tyre choice is fine.

Really disappointed but I'm going to have to duck out of this. Family drama needs sorting which also kept me from the club meeting this week which I had been looking forward to. Hope the event goes well and good luck to those taking part.

Delighted to see so many TRF guys taking part today.
Some pretty tough sections in places made harder by the clay and chalk mixed in with the rain this morning.
Hope you all enjoyed the day - I did, but compared to many of these events this one had a lot more roadwork and not so many sections.
So if you enjoyed it The Swindonian is coming up in a few weeks and The Moor to Sea in Devon too.
I am sure Kev will chip in with the details.
Cheers
Gav

Re: North Downs Long Distance Trial - Sunday, May 3rd
A great day out if not a little damp and slippery this morning, but it soon dried up.
By default there was quite a bit of road work which took us from Reigate to Bletchingly to Horley to Reigate to Beare Green to Shere to Ripley to Bookham and back to Reigate, 108 miles, 13 trials sections and 1 special test. Nearly all the sections were on private land, which was great and the road work took in some lovely villages and great views through the low cloud!
If this ldt wetted your appetite then the next one on the calender is the Swindonian, lots of byways, not much road work and 30 odd sections.
After that it is the Moor to See in Devon. Mainly on private land and an absolute cracker.
See you there!

Thanks to Dave, Sean & Tricky for the company and leading around the route.
Lots of road work as some have said but some new byways ridden for me and some entertaining sections, none of which I expect to win any prizes!!
Thought it was a very well organised event.
