This one ran for the first time last year, and I didn't enter it so can't really give any feedback (did anyone on here do it?), but it should be a chance to ride a lot of the lanes with which we're already familiar, but in a Long Distance Trial format which offers the additional fun of following a roadbook and doing some observed sections. I think a few of the sections will probably be on private land that the club have access to. If you've currently got an ACU licence, then online entry to the event is available on the ACU website. Some more details in the attached file.

Just entered online via the ACU site - what a breeze (though had to find it by date under all event types)!
The Aldermaston Nomads should do the same for their 3 stage trial event and I am sure it would fill up even quicker.

A long distance trial on our doorstep, what could be better, I am in.
This is a self guided road book event around the North Downs, enter it and you get to keep the road book for future use, (you can lead your own ride!) if you don't fancy the trials sections then just miss them out or give one or two a go, no one will mind.
It is sure to be a good day out.

Re: North Downs Long Distance Trial - Sunday, May 3rd
Just did my entry via the ACU website, nice and easy.
I think that makes 4 of us entered now. They could do with more support as when I did my entry there were still 75 places available out of a limit of 100.
Come on guys it's in our backyard.
Murray.

Don't forget this lovely local event on the 3rd of May.
Derek, Gavin and I have done quite a few of these events now and will be more than happy to team up with any LDT virgins.
Sign up and give it a go, what's the worse that can happen!
