Hare and Hounds 15/11/15

Postby Agustamo » Mon Nov 09, 2015 10:01 am

Is anyone going to this event? I have space(s) in my awning if you are looking for a place in the dry to set up and stuff.

See link below for reference:

http://www.seecenduro.co.uk/

It is my first time entering anything like this and expect it to be fun but completely knackering. I am hoping the old CRM250 (and me) will just finish...

you will love it
and hate it.
It will be the hardest thing you've ever done and at the end you will swear to never do another.
The next day you will be craving the next one.
Slab was the first event i did, its a real trial by fire.
Advice;
Ride WELL within your capabilities, you cannot win on the first lap but you can wipe yourself out
On the open sand part lean as far back as possible and the faster you go the easier it is
Stop and rest whenever you need to, it takes practice to ride enduro
Your aim should be to finish - that's all. Its harder than it sounds but a goal to aim for
Please do let us know how you get on

save yourself for the last hour ... when 20% of the field will have given up or broken down .... the track will be easier to ride so do save something for the end !!

Yes to all of the above.
Re bike: Slab Common sand is sharp, it eats brake pads/discs, so start with new pads, my new pads were down to metal after a day here.
Have a great day!

Thanks itchychin- I rode there a few months back on a pay and play. Had to finish early due to wearing out front and rear pads. New ones are in and I'm carrying spares.

My Number is not allocated yet - I've requested 181. I'm expecting confirmation and will let you know.

I have a high top transit with the yellow flashing lights and a blue awning. Blue and white CRM250

Should be there early to set up. I'll put the kettle on.

How did you guys get on ?
We went and had a walk around. It looked real tough, and typical slab common deep snotty wet sand.
There are some pictures already posted in the seec group on Facebook, incase you've not seen them.
