Pathfinder Trial Sunday April 23rd

Postby kevpg » Wed Dec 07, 2016 6:34 pm

Aldermaston Nomads, with assistance from Surrey TRF, will be holding their 3 Stage Pathfinder Trial again in 2017.

Sunday 23 April 2017.

Same venue as 2016 - Deepcut Bagshot.

Entry form here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/599 ... 170423.pdf

Entry £37.00 plus £3.00 day licence if you do not have an annual one.

Put the date in your diary.

This event is all on private land, a nice mix of forestry and open going, 3 stages, 8 or 9 laps, 10 sections per lap, around 4/5 hours riding, all easily doable on any trail/enduro bike.

We had a really good TRF turn out last year, 25 + riders and hope to have at least the same this year.

Any more details for a newbie about what this involves? Is a normal on/off road trail bike sufficient ?

Thanks

Absolutely, a normal on/off road trail bike will be perfect.

This event is known as a 3 Stage Trial. There will be a lap of roughly 3-4 miles on private land. Within the lap there will be 10 trials sections designed for trail/enduro bikes.

For stage 1 Riders are allowed 2 hours normally to complete 2 laps and attempt all the sections.(no problem if you do not fancy a particular section you just tell the scorer and he will score you a Five for that section).

For Stage 2, again it is normally 2 laps but they must be completed in 1-1.5 hours but the sections are opened up to make them easier.

Finally for Stage 3 the sections are completely opened up, so you just ride through the start and finish gate but you will be expected to complete 4-5 laps within 1 hour dependant on whether you are a Novice or an Expert(Like Kevin Greening).

Hope that helps.
Chopper.

Vinnie,

Any bike will be fine, we had a broad mix last year from Yamaha Serow's to Maico 500's!

There is a big thread for more info here: https://forum.surreytrf.org.uk/viewtopi ... db4aad1287

Entry fee will remain at £37.00 plus £3.00 for a ACU day licence if you don't have a yearly one.

Any more questions then ask away.

Kev,

Is completing the form the only way to enter. I can see the event listed on the ACU website with a permit number, but it does not look like it can be booked from there.

Cheers,
Peter.

Peter,

Postal only I am afraid, it's a bit old school but not too onerous.

Hi - any chance the form can be shared please? Alternatively the ACU event ID? I cannot find it in the ACU site and there are no forms to download from the Nomads pages.
