TRF take on the SnowRun

So a motley crew of Trf' ers are to take on the SnowRun in the forests surrounding Llandovery on the 5th of Feb, for some it will be their first event and others are more experienced enduro riders. Come what may it will be a great experience and i am sure all will enjoy it or at least retrospectively enjoy it as it will be gruelling.
Simply trail are supplying the rubber at mates rates, NIce one Mudeevee.

Anyone else in for a good mud/blood bath ?

Right, 3 days to go....

There are 10 of us heading of to Wales for the Snowrun Enduro.
We're all entered as Sportsmen. We've been told it's 3 laps, 25 miles a lap.
Time limits will be decided on the day, factors are, the weather and how deep the mud is.

This is my first Enduro, so being a bit nervous I did a bit of reading up.
"This is a proper old fashioned event" "Sorts the men from the boys".
This did little to settle the nerves. I am so gonna die.

Bikes ready, sporting my race number and nice new rubber (thanks Derek, and thanks for trying to talk me out of this, next time I'll listen) if there is a next time.......

I did this about 30 years ago,proper old school hard enduro.{I houred out after nearly 4 hours of hell ! } but that was in Clubman A. Good luck to you all. A little tip , if you can get a Welsh flag/sticker put it on your bike, you will get plenty of help in the really hard/$hitty bits .

Have been following a thread for a few weeks on another forum about this event and all I can say is 'hats off' to anyone who attempts this. Comments such as '20 miles of paddling in deep ruts' or 'bottomless mud holes' or 'thought I was going to spend the rest of my life in that forest' set the picture of hell for me anyway.
Good on you chaps who are doing it today.
