I've just realised that regs for this are now available, they've probably been out for a while. Details available here: http://www.sidcupmotorcycleclub.co.uk/ldts.html
I've just entered using the ACU Online entry facility which is far from slick, but I've got a confirmed entry and it told me there were 27 available entries left.

Re: Timber Woods Long Distance Trial 22nd Sept 2013
Start times and numbers have been released for this:
Kev, Chopper and I have a 10:05 start time. Not too early!
Looks as though the journey is around 1.5 hours (70 odd miles), so I'll be leaving home at 7:45. I do have room in the van for one other if scutty still wants a lift? You'll need to be at mine for 7:30. PM me for details etc.
Bring some tape for the riding numbers, as they were not sticky back ones last year.

Derek. I would definitely like a lift. Can you give me your address?
Where did you see the start times and any idea what my start time is?
Thanks

A good day's riding!
Congrat's to GDAS on becoming the Timber Wood Trophy winner 2013. Great result Graham - well done.
Kevin did very well
Afraid that Chopper, Andy and I rather let the side down

Many thanks guys for all help yesterday, i really enjoyed all of it (except the getting lost and the pulling bike from mud bits!). At least I now have a score to try and beat for the Witley 100!
I'll post some of the video 'highlights' up shortly.

What a great day out, brilliant result for Graham and a good turn out from Surrey TRF.
Sorry about the mud chaps!

Re: Timber Woods Long Distance Trial 22nd Sept 2013
I thought the tightness of the sections was a bit cheeky considering the number of enduro bikes on the entry list - mind you someone on a KTM 450 EXC went round for 4 (he's probably an ex schoolboy trials champion!)
For anyone reading this who wasn't there, the format of the special test was a little unconventional; rather than being a speed event, you had to leave the box after a count of 3, ride 100 or so yards up the track, turn round, and ride back arriving back in the box in as near to 45 seconds as you could manage. So it was more of a counting exercise than a riding-skills exercise. I never thought my accountancy qualification was going to be so useful on a long distance trial!
It was a nice route; I recorded it on my GPS thinking I would ride it again over the winter but I noticed that a few of the lanes had seasonal TROs, starting 1st October, which is a bit of a bummer.
It was good to catch up with you guys and thanks for the compliments,
Graham

Re: Timber Woods Long Distance Trial 22nd Sept 2013
Well, after 4 hrs in A&E it appears I have torn up my neck muscles pretty bad and trapped the nerve for my right arm/hand - joy!
On the upside they gave me my first morphine - nice stuff!
7-10 days taking it easy, no riding and big pain killers.
One good thing, should give me enough time to edit the video together.
