Husqvarna TE 250 2007 1 years MOT £SOLD

Advance warning, an old TRF member, who has just had a kiddie called me this morning to advise that his bike will be up for grabs.

He has owned it for probably 3+ years and only covered maybe 500 miles.

He MOT'd it a month ago and the mileage had only gone up by 6 miles, so he has had to face reality that he won't be greenlaning for the foreseeable future

The bike is garaged and over in Kenley / Croydon area.

I've asked him to send me some photos etc. but if you are interested in the meantime, PM me and I will put you in touch with each other.

This bike was originally one of the West Midland Police issue bikes (of which several of us bought bikes from at the time).

These are twin cam bikes, so quite peppy and have electric start and the last of the good old carb bikes.

"Husqvarna TE250 used very little in the last few years. In the last year, between MOT's, it's done 6 miles - to the test station and back. Parenthood has taken its toll, so I think I'm best selling it now.


Bike is reasonable condition for an off road bike. Its been washed and lubed after every ride and lives under dust sheets in my garage. I replaced the battery the other year and start the engine each month.

As Gavin says on the thread above it was one of the ex-Police bikes that a number of TRF members purchased, so its history is known. I've used it on green lanes only with the exception of the TRF off road training session up at Headley the other year.


It's great to ride and has a good deal of grunt through the gears!

These bikes are quite tough without the sprag clutch problems of the earlier models and the general fragility of the later ones. I put over 200 hours on mine and it was trouble free. Change the oil reguarly and you should be fine.
At £1500 you can't really go wrong.

Simon's bro-in-law had mine about 3-4 years ago.

This was one out of the same batch which Steve McCormick bought before my pal Steve. I don't think either of them used it much. But I agree with Kev, these are a really good and grunty bikes which are fairly bulletproof.
