Shock! My stolen bike has turned up after 4 years!

I'm in shock!

I received a letter today asking me for removal / storage costs for my old bike which was stolen 4 years ago!

It was found in Preston on 2/7/2014.

I left it in the hands of the garage to talk to the insurance company...

Yes I'm quite amazed it wasn't ridden into the ground and killed long before now.

Kirk, I got paid out by insurance company 4 years ago, its up in Preston and I have no idea what condition its in, plus its now 14 years old, so don't want any hassle buying it back. Plus as its 4 years ago, I doubt they would offer it to me..

Be nice to hear that they got nicked, but I doubt it.. Sounds like we need a new thread like our injuries thread... stolen & found.. or more like stolen..

Looks like the police have "lost" the ktm!!

If your property is in the care of an organisation and they lose it, I'm sure you can claim compensation.

They found it again but the insurance company are claiming it as theirs as they paid out on it I won't get it back
