Any of you have a road bike here? Any of you partake in the coffee drinking at spots such as Rykas, Ace Cafe or Bury Hill? Please read on.
When I went for a trundle up to the Caf @ Bury Hill they had a petition going.
According to them, the big and ever popular Big Business, has managed to acquire planning permission to develop holiday homes inside HOUGHTON FOREST just next to Bury Hill's cafe where we bikers normally stop on our days out.
Cafe is concerned for the local area and their business. People I spoke to seemed to think it might also spell bad news for the bikers.
Had a hunt for an online petition and managed to find one.
I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if this is actually a good thing or not, but I don't trust big business, the locals don't want it and I do quite like walking through those woods when walking with the dogs.
Up to you if you sign it http://www.activism.com/en_GB/petition/ ... rest/59062

Re: Petition against development at Bury Hill
I know it's not TRF but it is still worth a shout and partially bike Bike related. The cafe, where we always ride to, is under threat and motorcyclists are always penalised in the area.

Re: Petition against development at Bury Hill
I remember the good old days when a Byway used to run through the forest right up to Bury Hill Cafe, the Locals didn`t like that either................
