Should I get it on the dyno? Was going to go down my mates and order a few different jets and couple of different needles and start from what the book recommends. Got to start somewhere.

If you have access to a dyno and its not going to cost then yeah, why not.
Personally i would work from where you are now, forget the standard OEM jetting.
Carb out and have a look at what you have got now. Let us know how you get on.

At the moment it's NOZG clip 3 needle
162 main
35 pilot

Seems to run well but very juicy but guess that's just 2stroke

2nd clip down from the top for the needle and a 158 main jet, the pilot is the smallest you can get so don't change it.

Phil,

Seriously, if you are only getting 40 miles from a tank, you're going to struggle with my route on the 28th....fuel stations are few and far between over that way (or they are on the route I'm doing......)

Will drop to 2nd clip and go for a ride and see what I get out of next tank. I'm off to bagshot with Stewie on Sunday so will see what I get then too.
