Tilford bridge closed

Passing on a message from a Tilford resident:

Tilford bridge has been closed for bridge repairs and will take up to 18 weeks.

Also Sheephatch lane is closed too.

So getting there would be via Elstead and or Farnham or Frensham way.

If the bridge is closed just go through the river , I seem to remember you are particularly good with water Pippa.............and its not too far for Andy to push your bike back to the pub.........

it seems they've had a change of plan https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-t ... ord-street and are now just doing a 3 week repair, postponing the major work till next year.

If there is to be a temporary footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists to cross over the river during the works, can motorcyclist dismount and push?

They've closed the water bit off on one side too, soo noo dunking for me this time! Avoiding all water holes at this time of year.....smelly, stagnant puddles just aren't my thing!

Thanks for the update guy's, no water on the surrey loop apart from London lane where the leaking water main wets the tunnel under A25 at Shere. Need some rain, so dusty!

I have just come through Tilford and cars are crossing the bridge so not sure what exactly is going on.
