I have spoken to Mike, last week, and the leg was in order, as well as can be, but there were other complications. Today I heard via Chris Avery that things are much better, he downd the can of Guiness pretty much in one go, so thats a good sign. I hope to see him this week. Maybe some medicinal Guiness can do some wonders. Cheers bc

Just dropped by his house this evening to drop in a card, expecting to see the man himself.

However, spoke to his wife and unfortunately he is still in Hospital due to infection. He is on some course of antibiotics and what-not so hopefully they can sort it and he will be out soon.

Been in today to see Mike, still on the old ward, but looking very chipper, and positive in general. The infection problem is not solved yet, but things are looking good, and he is being well fed by Mary. Such a positive attitude, (and he assures me is recruiting for the TRF ward-wide.) which is always a good thing to aid recovery! Cheers Brian C
