Reading the latest ideas to come out of the Surrey Hills Board, interesting times could lie ahead.

well. have a look at their latest newsletter, for details. Proposals for new ' green ways', to favour walkers cyclists, and horse riders. All good, but it may be at the expense of vehicle users. Its on the Surrey Hills website. cheers bc

are you referring to the proposal by Cycling UK? https://mk0surreyhillsnfif4k.kinstacdn. ... enways.pdf

I see they're proposing that Wolvens Lane should be TRO'd.

Indeed , Andy. I hope the committee deals with this 'full on', the new chairperson of the SH committee on this is anti trail bikes and anti 4x4. and a ' de facto' GLEAM member , as is the entire Capel parish council.

In addition, the SH aonb is seeking to become a National Park too, and also extend its coverage, which is looking likely to succeed. Most of the Surrey byways are in their covered area. National parks can also bypass the current TRO rules, as they have special powers, as we have seen used in the north.

Well Andy, as I posted this first, you are not the only one interested! I do not these days have contact with national TRF, but nothing has been posted here by anyone on this topic, so took it on myself, even though I am not currently a TRF member ,to draw it to attention, in case it had been missed. Obviously this has not been on the facebook page either ( i cannot access this as a non member) so lets hope the ball is not dropped here. Gary S at least is aware now, but maybe some officers could update the membership?
If I hear of developments I will post, but these days I do not actively follow this. cheers bc
